Ingredients (serves 2):

1 artisan pizza crust (homemade or store-bought)

1 ripe pear

2 tablespoons of Ceimayá’s Desert Honey: Mesquite Blossom

100 g of goat cheese or fresh mozzarella

1 cup of fresh arugula

1 tablespoon of butter
-
1 teaspoon of brown sugar

Olive oil to taste

Salt and pepper to taste

(Optional) Chopped walnuts or almonds
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).

Slice the pear thinly. In a skillet, melt the butter and cook the pear with the sugar over medium heat until golden and caramelized (about 5–7 min).

Spread the pizza crust and brush with a little olive oil.

Top with pieces of cheese and the caramelized pear. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.

Once out of the oven, add the fresh arugula, a drizzle of mesquite honey, and (optional) some crunchy nuts or almonds.
