Experience the unique taste of our baked apples with Ceimayá melipona honey. Ingredients:

  • 4 apples (Gala, Fuji, or Granny Smith)
  • 4 tablespoons of Ceimayá melipona honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 cup butter (about 1 teaspoon per apple)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 cup water or apple juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. Wash and cut off the tops of the apples. Carefully remove the core without piercing the bottom.
  3. Drizzle the apples with lemon juice to preserve their color.
  4. Fill each apple with 1 teaspoon of butter, 1 tablespoon of Ceimayá melipona honey, and nuts or raisins if desired.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and place the apples in a baking dish.
  6. Add water or apple juice to the bottom of the dish to keep them moist.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the apples are tender and golden.
  8. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt for an extra special touch.
