Spookily delicious! Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and with a touch of honey that makes them irresistible. Perfect for your Halloween parties or to surprise at home with a fun snack.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter (at room temperature)
1/2 cup Mayan Honey: Tsitsilché Blossom
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Melted chocolate (for the legs)
Chocolate balls or small chocolates (for the eyes)
Round chocolates or truffles (for the spider’s body)
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Mix the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the Mayan Honey: Tsitsilché Blossom and the egg, beating until blended. Gradually stir in the flour, baking powder and salt until a smooth dough forms. Form small balls of dough and place on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are golden brown. When cool, place a bonbon or truffle in the center of each cookie to form the body of the spider. Use melted chocolate to draw the legs and glue on the chocolate eyes.
