Let’s celebrate the new year with this delicious cocktail!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Ceimayá’s Desert Honey: Mezquite Blossom
- 3 cups of water
- 2 whole pears, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 large chunk of ginger, peeled and diced
- 20 fresh sage leaves + additional for garnish
- 1 bottle of your favorite champagne or sparkling wine.
Preparation:
Bring the Ceimayá’s Desert Honey: Mezquite Blossom and water to a boil over medium heat in a saucepan. Stir occasionally until the honey is completely dissolved. Add the pears, ginger and sage leaves. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and let stand for another 10 minutes. Finally, strain the syrup into a large jar, discarding the ginger and sage. To serve, place a few pieces of cooked pear in each glass followed by 1-2 tablespoons of the syrup and add the champagne.
