We recommend this delicious turkey recipe to surprise your family!
Ingredients:
- ½ cup of Ceimayá’s Mayan Honey: Tsitsilché Blossom
- Olive oil
- White Rub
- Onions
- 1 garlic
- 5 oranges
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 can of dark beer
- 15 cloves of garlic
- Bunch of rosemary
- Aromatic herbs
- Smoked salt
- Potatoes
- Carrots
- ½ cup of water
- Dessert Rub
Preparation:
Coat the turkey with olive oil. Then season with white rub. Cut 1 onion and 1 garlic in half. Pour olive oil inside the turkey and cut the 2 oranges into thin slices. Add the onion, garlic and orange pieces inside the turkey. In an upright turkey pan pour half a can of dark beer along with the 4 bay leaves and seat the turkey on the upright rack. Then place the turkey on a platter. Pour the rest of the beer into the pan and place the turkey in a roaster over indirect heat at a temperature of 392 F°- 200 C°. On the other hand, prepare a brine by heating water in a pot, add 15 cloves of garlic, 1 bunch of rosemary, season with the aromatic herbs, smoked salt and mix everything together. Cover the turkey with the brine every 30 min. After 1 hour, cover the top of the turkey with aluminum foil, add potatoes, onion and carrots to the pan and let rest. To prepare the glaze, in a bowl squeeze 3 oranges, add ½ cup of Ceimayá’s Mayan Honey: Tsitsilché Blossom, dilute with 1/2 cup of water and mix with a dessert rub. Then remove the turkey from the roaster and remove the foil. Set the pan with juices and vegetables aside. Remove turkey to a roasting pan or rotisserie and continue cooking for 30 min. Top with glaze every 10 min. Finally, let turkey rest for 30 min. and serve with carrots and potatoes.
