Craving something refreshing for Father’s Day?

We recommend this cocktail for dad!

 

 

INGREDIENTS:

60 ml (4 tbsp) of tequila

30 ml (2 tbsp) of Melipona beecheii Ceimaya honey

10 ml (2 tsp) of mezcal

2 dash of Angostura bitters

22 ml (1 1/5 tbsp) freshly squeezed lime juice

Ceimaya honeycomb for garnish

Ice

Lemon peel

Steps:

Honey syrup:

Heat water and  Melipona beecheii honey in a saucepan over medium high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and  boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and allow cooling completely. Once cooled, store in a glass jar.

Cocktail:

In a cocktail or Martini glass, pour the mezcal into the glass with the help of the jigger, tilting it to cover the entire surface of the glass. Fill the glass with crushed ice, reserve. Fill a cocktail shaker with several ice cubes and add the tequila, lime juice and honey syrup. Close the shaker and shake vigorously to mix all the ingredients well (30 sec shaking, give or take). Using a strainer over the glass, pour the cocktail. . Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters. Garnish with lemon peel and a piece of Ceimaya honeycomb honey.
