Ingredients:
- 125 g soft butter
- 100 g sugar
- 4 tablespoons of Ceimayá’s Volcano Honey: Wild Sunflower Blossom
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor
- 1 egg at room temperature
- 250 g wheat flour
- For the glaze:
- 300 g powdered sugar or powdered sugar
- The white of one large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- Black food coloring
Preparation:
Grind the sugar in a food processor until it becomes a powder. Add butter, Ceimayá’s Volcano Honey: Wild Sunflower Blossom and vanilla extract to a large bowl. Beat until creamy. Add the egg and beat until combined. Gradually add the flour, beating until a dough forms. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Flour a flat surface and roll out the dough until it is 1/4 inch thick. Use a ghost mold to cut the dough. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let the cookies cool completely before decorating. For the icing, whisk the powdered sugar, egg white and vanilla extract in a bowl until a thick cream forms. Divide the frosting in half. Add black food coloring to one half of the frosting. Use a piping bag to decorate the cookies with the white icing. Use the black icing to make the eyes and mouths of the ghosts.
